The famous city has had a huge influx of rodents, due to the ever-rising river Seine. The river reached heights of 17 feet on Wednesday and is due to rise to 20 feet by Saturday. Paris is on an amber alert, which is the second highest level. Several roads and tunnels have been closed because of this, and public transport has been heavily affected. The iconic Louvre building also closed one wing to protect valuable artwork, should the situation worsen.
The rain stopped last Friday, but Parisians and tourists are still seeing some unwelcome faces, as rodents were flushed from the sewer system. Some residents have even claimed that the rats have been jumping for their throats, causing terror in the city. Footage caught on camera shows a humongous build-up of rodents, causing shock and fear in Paris.
